Hi.

I confess I am a Linux newbie...although have Unix experience from a long long time ago!!!!
I have to say i love this BlueWhite64 distro and I am way way impressed.
Still trying to work out commands and that with this version of Linux but it looks great.

Mainboard: HP manufactured by Quanta
CPU: AMD Turion x2 Ultra Dual Core Mobile ZM82
Memory: 4 GB
HDD: Toshiba MK3252GS SATA drive
Controller: AMD ATI AHCI SATA raid controller
Video: ATI HD3450 series dedicated graphics
Southbridge: SB700
Sound card: IDT HD audio
3 x USB 2.0 ports
Network: Realtek Gigabit Ethernet
Atheros AR5007 Wireless
Other: 1 x esata usb2.0 combo external port
1 x HDMI port

This distro correctly detects and mounts my esata device when in the esata port with BlueWhite64 running.
This is a big achievement compared to Wintel OS with a combo port.
However, the performance is not even close to sata performance.
It may be just a tuning thing so I need to learn Linux more or find out if there is a good utility?
Certainly am looking to get the most out of my hardware so will need to throw some questions your way at first
to get me on track!

As mentioned, sure this is mainly down to my inexperience with Linux.
Love this distro so far and unsure if the tweaks I still need are old ground or not?
I guess this is how we all learn a new OS ?
