My new job is really demanding time, plus family needs attention too. So...I have very limited time for "my own stuff". Oh, yes, arny already knows about this decision. I still support BW64 and when I can I will help arny, if he still needs my help. I really enjoyed working with you guys during this period. It was nice making the packages, hunting dependencies, listening to your tips and complaints , etc. But now I kindda go back to the "user spot".I don't know, this is up to arny, but if anyone is up to keep carrying the torch... See ya!

Diver, my last two builds (kde-4.4.1 and kde-4.4.2) were made using alienBob's slackbuilds, which can be found here: http://alien.slackbook.org/ktown/ If anyone is willing to "take the mantle", here are some tips/advices: 1- talk to alienBob just to be sure he doesn't mind you using his scripts. Yes, I know it is Open Source/Free Software, but being polite doesn't hurt; 2- keep the header of the build scripts (where it says Patrick/alienBob/whoever created the scripts, etc, etc. If you make any change to the script (the code) then add your own info there. But DON'T REMOVE the reference to other people's work 3- keep in mind that Slackware64 uses LIBSUFFIX="64" which means libraries are installed in /usr/lib64, while BW64 install things in /usr/lib. So, edit the scripts and change the LIBSUFFIX="64" to LIBSUFFIX="". If the person going for the hunt (packaging kde4) needs to clarify some doubts, let me know. Ah, and just in case you guys don't remember, I stayed quite some time out of the loop between kde-4.4.0 and kde-4.4.1, so to speed up the "catching up" I resorted to alienbob' slackbuilds.

And no, I do not mind if you or anyone else uses my build scripts. They are free to use, with the restrictions Kenjiro pointed out. I request that any binaries that get published using these scripts, will be accompanied by their build scripts. If you do not publish your packages but use them in private, I don't care what happens to the build scripts. What I really dislike about http://packages.bluewhite64.com/ is that there are no sources, no scripts, so everybody can only make guesses about the quality of the build. Eric

I really thought (before reading your reply) that I had mentioned before that I used your scripts to build KDE-4.4.1 and 4.4.2 for BW64. I must be getting crazy or old *LOL*. Perhaps the confusion from my part is because I do remember saying that on the IRC channel #bluewhite64 (irc.freenode.net). And I even wrote an email to someone about that.... arny perhaps? Once again I am sorry for not stating that before. I even went back to the first page of this thread and re-read all my posts. My bad, really. Thanks for your grate work, alienbob.

I compiled KDE-4.4.3 with the help of Alien's scripts (thanks again, Alien) You can download them from http://bw64.4c4f45.com/ Sources from http://alien.slackbook.org/ktown/ are included. I use my packages nearly 20 days and all seems OK
